LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) --  RxCrossroads, a logistics provider for the pharmaceutical industry, plans to create about 400 jobs at a distribution center in Okolona, according to state documents.

The company was founded in 2001 and is a subsidiary of CVS Health, which bought RxCrossroads parent Omnicare last year.

RxCrossroads was approved Thursday to receive up to $4 million in economic development incentives from the state and Louisville Metro, which the company can collect over 10 years if it follows through with the expansion project and the 400 jobs.

The jobs will pay $30 an hour on average – a figure that includes not only cash compensation but the value of employee benefits like health insurance, according to state documents.

The distribution center will be at 5101 Jeff Commerce Drive, off Jefferson Boulevard just south of Fern Valley Road.

Last year, developer Jefferson United got approval from Metro government to build a 293,000-square-foot “distribution facility” at that address.

RxCrossroads’ headquarters is at 1901 Eastpoint Parkway in eastern Jefferson County. No one with the company returned a call for comment.
