LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- The ultimate Kentucky Derby party kicked off Thursday along the Waterfront.

Kroger's Fest-a-Ville opened Thursday ahead of the night's Great Balloon Glimmer.

People lined up early for their favorite Chow Wagon foods.

You'll also find midway rides, inflatables and live music as part of this Derby tradition celebrating its tenth year.

"This is the most exciting and celebrated and recognized festival in the world when it comes to festivals," Mayor Greg Fischer said. "It wins the 'best of festivals' globally almost every year."

Fest-a-Ville is open through Oaks Day.

Admission is a Pegasus Pin, and if you don't have one, you can buy one at the door for $7.
