LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- Areas of Lanesville, Ind., are being defaced with spray painted threats directed at the city's police chief, Tom Walter.
Harrison County Prosecutor Otto Schalk shared a message on his Facebook page this afternoon.
Schalk says they're looking for the person responsible, releasing the following statement:
As the Prosecuting Attorney, I serve as the Chief Law Enforcement Officer for Harrison County. To that extent, I take great pride in working alongside our county and town officers, and when individuals decide to make threats against those that bravely serve our community, you can be certain that the action we take will be swift and severe. During the past 24 hours, someone has not only vandalized a wonderful park in Lanesville, but they have directly threatened the Lanesville Chief of Police, Tom Walter. We are asking that anyone with information to please contact the Harrison County Sheriff's Department or the Prosecutor's Office.
One of the messages simply read: "I will kill u Tom Walter."
