LOUISVILLE, KY. (WDRB) – Kyle Funkhouser is back.
Looking more like his old dominant self, the senior righthander struck out nine in seven scoreless innings Saturday at Jim Patterson Stadium as the 6th ranked Louisville Cardinals completed a three-game sweep on St. John’s with a 4-0 win.
Funkhouser won his second straight start. He improved to 5-3 on the year after allowing just four hits.
Louisville is back in action Tuesday. The Cardinals will conclude its five-game homestand with a game against Cincinnati.
