LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- Kentucky State Police are working to identify the decomposed remains of a woman found in Hart County.

According to a message posted Monday morning on the Kentucky State Police Facebook page, the woman's remains were found on June 15, 2015, off Waterloo Road in Hart County.

Authorities say no identification was found with the remains and that decomposition made visual identification impossible.

Officials say it's believed the woman is between 24 and 47 years old. The woman's race could not be determined.

Police say a gray stud earring with a pink stone was found with the remains. Officials also say a necklace with an "S" emblem in the center was found with the remains. She was also wearing a medium-sized Southern Comfort t-shirt and size 9 Wilson brand sneakers with green laces.

Anyone with information about the case is asked to call Kentucky State Police at 270-782-2010.
