Quarantine lifted on last Indiana farm affected by bird flu outbreak

Posted: Updated:

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- Indiana health officials have lifted a quarantine on the last of 10 poultry farms where a bird flu outbreak was found in January.

The quarantine at the Dubois County farm ended Sunday when it was declared virus-free.

The farm composted the carcasses of its euthanized birds and conducted thorough cleanings of its poultry barns.

The state has gone 90 consecutive days without any new cases of the poultry disease.
