City Taste Tours offer foodies a tacky, funny, weird bus trip through Louisville

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- A shabby-chic bus with a horse on the side is your ticket to the most unusual tour you've ever experienced.
"Hello, hello. Have a seat," is the welcome to the City Taste Tours bus. City Taste Tours is not your typical bus tour. This one is tacky, funny, filling, and weird. Leslie Burke's bus makes stops that give views of the Louisville skyline and an up-close look at landmarks like Old Louisville, Whiskey Row, Churchill Downs and the Slugger bat.
"It really is a combination of sightseeing, tasting, fun stops and a great overview of what the city is all about," says Leslie Burke, owner of City Taste Tours. At each stop, guests tour area businesses, then board the bus for a history lesson and a taste of the Derby City. The tour serves food and bourbon, though other options are available for people who don't drink alcohol.
This heavily-decorated bus can hold up to 14 tourists who are expected to participate by eating, drinking, and singing enthusiastically. A $59 ticket covers your three- to four-hour tour and all the food and drinks that come with it--Hot Brown Pizza, Art Eatables Chocolates, Derby Pie, bourbon and more.
Leslie says small groups often board the bus as strangers and leave as friends.
