LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- A Louisville man is charged with 10 counts of burglary after authorities say he stole property from several homes.

Charles Earl Ballard, 47, was arrested on Tuesday at his home in the 1900 block of Portland Avenue, near North 20th Street. Louisville Metro Police say Ballard allegedly burglarized several homes.

Police say Ballard burglarized homes located on River Road, Cherry Valley Road, Blankenbaker Lane, Northwestern Parkway, Juniper Beach Road and Riviera Drive. Police also say Ballard "removed property" in several of the cases.

Investigators say Ballard stole property worth more than $6,000 in one of the burglaries, which he then sold.

Police records state that Ballard "admitted to all offenses."

Ballard is also charged with possession of a controlled substance and receiving stolen property.

He is being held at Louisville Metro Corrections and is scheduled to appear in court on Wednesday.
