NEW ALBANY, Ind. (WDRB) -- Everyone's mom is special, but only one mom can be Queen for the day!

The Arts Council of Southern Indiana hosted the Mother's Day Tea and Fashion Show at the Grand Theatre.

The theme for the fourth annual event was "Queen for a Day."

Emma Walls, 83, had the honor of being that lucky lady.

"To win the mother of the day... queen for the day is marvelous, just marvelous. Surprising for an old lady like me," Walls said.

Walls was there with her children, grand children, and great-grand children as they watched a fashion show, listened to musical performances and ate deserts.
