New Albany business park gets fiber optic hookup from AT&T
New businesses are expected to flock to southern Indiana, thanks to a high-tech hookup.
LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- New businesses are expected to flock to southern Indiana, thanks to a high-tech hookup.
Today, officials announced that the Purdue Research Park in New Albany has become just the fourth site in the state to be designated "AT&T Fiber Ready."
The company placed fiber optic cable throughout the park, giving it the fastest Internet connectivity available.
"When people are looking for their sites...when people are looking for the place they want to put their business, they're looking for a work-friendly place, they're looking for friendly government, they're looking for reasonable rates, they're looking for connectivity," said Dan Hasler, president of the Purdue Research Foundation. "And when you can put this package together as has happened here in New Albany, particularly at the Purdue Research Park, things are gonna happen."
The Purdue Research Park opened in New Albany in 2009.
