Three people wounded in separate, overnight shootings in Lou.

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- Metro police kept busy early Saturday morning, investigating three, separate shootings. They searched for suspects on Saturday, with no reports of arrests.

Officers responded to University of Louisville Hospital about 12:30 a.m., to interview a shooting victim taken there by "private means," according to an LMPD statement.

The victim told police he was shot at Clay and Jacob Streets in the Smoketown Jackson neighborhood, after a man approached him and demanded money. The victim was shot as he ran from the area; his injuries are non-life threatening, police said.

Officers also are investigating after a man was shot in the thigh, as he was getting out of his vehicle in a parking lot in the 7300-block of Six Mile Lane, near Breckenridge Lane, in the Hikes Point area. Police said the suspect fired several shots and left in a green SUV. The victim's injuries are non-life threatening, according to LMPD. Police started their investigation after they learned the victim had arrived at a hospital "by private means." He was later taken to a local hospital, police said.

Police found a person shot and wounded in a house in the 7300-block of Beechland Avenue, near Vassar Avenue, about 1:34 a.m. in Pleasure Ridge Park. Witnesses told police the victim was shot by someone outside of the house. The victim was taken to a local hospital with non-life threatening injuries, the LMPD statement said.
