Shively Police say woman robbed convenience store using pellet gun
The suspect was arrested Sunday at her home, according to police.
LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- Shively Police have arrested a woman authorities say robbed a convenience store using a pellet gun.
Elise Lamkin, 29, was arrested Sunday at her home in the 4700 block of Kenrose Lane, near Rockford Lane and Dixie Highway.
Authorities say Lamkin entered a convenience store, located at 4741 Rockford Lane. The alleged robbery took place on Sunday. The official police report says Lamkin allegedly "displayed what appeared to be a handgun and demanded money."
Police say she "ordered the clerk to open the register" and then took money from the drawer.
Officials say Lamkin was located at her home.
Authorities say officers were given permission to search the residence and located a black handgun that was used in the robbery. Police say the weapon was a pellet gun.
Investigators say Lamkin was cooperative with police and admitted to committing the robbery. Police also say Lamkin stated she took $20.
Police say a glass case with needles and a small amount of unknown substances were also found.
Lamkin is charged with robbery, possession of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia.
She is being held at Louisville Metro Corrections.
