Woman following directions from GPS drives down boat ramp into bay

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- Relying on directions from GPS caused one Canadian driver to take an unexpected swim.

Police say the 23-year-old woman was following the GPS' instructions on a dark and foggy night in Ontario. She drove down a boat launch, apparently took a wrong turn, and plunged right into the harbor.

The woman was able to roll down her window, get out and swim to shore.

The car sank to the bottom of the lake. A tow truck pulled it out the next morning.

Except for being cold and wet, the woman was not hurt.
