LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- A Columbia University student who was raised in Louisville has been found safe after going missing for several days.

A Facebook group devoted to finding Nayla Kidd, 19, posted Monday night a release sent out by Columbia saying she had been found by NYPD.

Kidd's grandmother spoke with WDRB late Monday night, confirming she had been found safe, but wouldn't offer any further details.

WDRB spoke with Kidd's mother Monday before she was found. She said she expected some new details in the case in the next 48 hours.

Kidd had changed her bank account numbers and deleted her personal Facebook page.
