It's unanimous: Towns voted NBA Rookie of the Year

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- Former University of Kentucky basketball star Karl Anthony Towns has been named NBA Rookie of the Year.

The vote was unanimous. 

Towns is the first UK player to win the award. He now plays center for the Minnesota Timberwolves. He led all rookies by averaging 18 points and 10 rebounds per game.

He was named Rookie of the Month in every month of the season.

Towns is the fifth player all-time and third in the last six years to get a unanimous vote.
