LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) – The Louisville Cardinals exploded for eight runs in the bottom of the 6th inning to defeat the Indiana Hoosiers 9-2 and finish with a 33-1 home field record at Jim Patterson Stadium Tuesday night.
Indiana took a 2-0 lead in the fifth when Craig Dedelow doubled down the right field line to score Alex Krupa and Colby Stratten.
Louisville responded in the sixth with RBIs from Devin Hairston, Blake Tiberi, Danny Rosenbaum, Corey Ray, Will Smith, Nick Solak and Brenden McKay.
Hairston notched another RBI in the 8th.
U of L sophomore pitcher Kade McClure pitched six innings, striking out ten and walking three while giving up five hits and two earned runs.
Louisville (43-10) is back on the field starting Thursday to finish the regular season with a three game stand at Wake Forest. Indiana (31-19) closes the regular season with a three-game set at Nebraska starting Thursday.
