LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- Resurfaced is back in the Derby city, this time with a new concept.

The project turns unused, urban space into a temporary community attraction.

The newest project will come to a large empty site at the corner of East Liberty and South Shelby Street.

It opens the first two weekends in June, with the typical music, entertainment and food. Then, a second phase will start in September.

For the first time, an urban soccer field will be added to it.

Project officials say this Resurfaced will focus on community engagement.
