LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- Authorities say a Jeffersonville man who was shot in the head Tuesday has died.

The Jefferson County Coroner's Office has identified that man as 25-year-old Channing Todd.

Todd was shot on S. 29th Street, near Greenwood Avenue, on Tuesday, at around 4:45 p.m. He was pronounced dead just before 11:30 a.m. today, two days later.

Kimberly Starry lives near the scene. She described hearing a loud sound.

"I got up and said, 'Was that a gunshot?'" Starry said.

A short time later, Starry says her neighborhood was taped off as detectives were everywhere.

"I come back up to the front, and there they all was, right out here on the corner," Starry said. "I looked and everybody was standing around on the sidewalk, and somebody was lying on the ground."

"It really touched me. It really made me cry. It really made me shed a tear, because at the end of the day, that was somebody's child," said another neighbor, Asia Monroe.

Marcus Taylor, 32, was arrested Wednesday in connection to the shooting.
