Judicial Conduct Commission sets hearing date for Judge Olu Stevens

Posted: Updated:

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- A hearing for a controversial judge is set for this summer.

Judge Olu Stevens is accused of judicial misconduct. The Judicial Conduct Commission set the date for August 8th in a Louisville courtroom.

The commission is the disciplinary arm of the judicial branch.

It charged Stevens with six counts of "misconduct" for his treatment of those in his courtroom and public comments made about prosecutors and defense attorneys. The commission can suspend, remove or sanction the judge if members find him guilty.

Stevens says he is not guilty. He has been temporarily suspended with pay.
