LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- It was a packed house at Freedom Hall Friday night.

More than 6,500 people watched and listened as Donald Trump took aim at Hillary Clinton and championed the Second Amendment.

"Hillary Clinton wants to abolish the Second Amendment, we are not going to let that happen I can tell you that right now," he said.

Throughout his speech, Trump dubbed her "Heartless Hillary."

"Crooked Hillary Clinton is the most anti-gun anti-Second Amendment candidate ever to run for office. As I said she wants to abolish the Second Amendment and take your guns away," said Trump.

Hillary Clinton responded to Trump and her 6.3 million followers on Twitter with the following tweet:

"You're wrong @realdonaldtrump, We can uphold Second Amendment rights while preventing senseless gun violence."

The group "Mothers Demand Action" also issued a statement on what Trump said Friday in Louisville.

"The irony of someone who says he will repeal the protections that keep guns out of our children's schools on the first day of his presidency receiving the gun lobby's endorsement at an event where guns were not allowed will not be lost on the American people, a strong majority of whom support strengthening gun laws."

Not all of Trump's speech focused on gun rights but he never let up on Clinton in front of the NRA crowd.

"What she did with her e-mails is so criminal, is so dishonest, is so shocking that she shouldn't be allowed to run but it looks like they are going to let her run, and that's okay with me because I do want to run against her I have to be honest," he told the audience.
