BALTIMORE, Md. (WDRB) -- Exaggerator has won the 141st running of the Preakness Stakes at Baltimore's Pimlico Race Course.
Kentucky Derby winner Nyquist was racing to remain undefeated in his career.
The Preakness is Nyquist's first loss, ending the Derby winner's Triple Crown bid.
Saturday’s race was the second in the Triple Crown.
The race came after two horses died during the morning races.
The winner of Saturday's first race, Homeboykris, died just after posing for the winner's photo on the way back to the barn.
After the fourth race, a second horse, Pramedya, suffered a left-front mid-cannon bone fracture and was euthanized on the track.
Eric Crawford and John Lewis will have a full report from Pimlico on WDRB News tonight at 10 p.m.
The third race in the Triple Crown, the Belmont Stakes, is June 11 at Belmont Park in Elmont, New York.
