Volunteers help clean up with International We Love You Foundation

Posted: Updated:

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- Cleaning up the community and sharing a powerful message.

About 30 volunteers spent their morning with the International We Love You Foundation to clean up the Smoketown neighborhood.

It's all part of the 2016 Clean World Movement.

The volunteers picked up trash while raising awareness about protecting the environment in the face of climate change.

"It started in Korea, but now it's here all over the world and in every state. It's the first time in Louisville so we're excited," volunteer Chanel Krause said.

The organization hopes to come back to Louisville again next year.
