LOUISVILLE, KY. (WDRB) – The Louisville Bats thought they had the Columbus Clippers where they wanted them. Instead, the Bats lost for the fourth time in five games.
The Bats wasted a 4-0 lead Sunday at Slugger Field before losing 8-6 in ten innings.
The Bats led 6-3 going into the ninth but Reds' recently demoted right-hander Keyvius Sampson gave up three runs to help the Clippers send the game to extra innings.
Adam Moore gave the Clippers their first lead of the game in the 10th on an RBI single. Columbus added one more that inning as the Clippers ended up taking two of three this weekend from Louisville.
Drew Hayes (1-1) suffered his first loss of the season for the Bats.
