LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- Louisville Metro Police have arrested a man officials say robbed and stabbed a woman.

Chad Cahill, 19, was arrested Sunday. The official police report says he allegedly approached a victim on Sunday as she was locking the front door to Sunshine Liquors, located at 4105 Taylor Boulevard.

Authorities say Cahill allegedly demanded to be let in to the store to take the business' cash.

Police say a struggle took place and Cahill allegedly "stabbed the victim multiple times in the head and upper torso." There's no word on the victim's current condition.

Investigators say Cahill took the bank deposit and the victim's purse and phone, before fleeing the scene.

Officials say Cahill was found at 9700 Stonestreet Road. At the time, police say Cahill was in possession of the victim's cell phone.

Cahill is charged with robbery. He is being held at Louisville Metro Corrections on a $100,000 cash bond.

He is expected in court on Monday.
