Indiana panel meets to design replacement for I-STEP
LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- It's a big step in trying to make a better ISTEP.
An Indiana panel held its first meeting Tuesday to find a replacement for the unpopular Indiana Statewide Testing for Educational Progress-Plus test. The test is dubbed I-STEP and is taken by 3rd thru 8th grade students.
Indiana's Department of Education uses the test to measure student achievement in English, math, science, and social studies.
The panel has until December to find a replacement for the test, which is taken every spring.
