PAOLI, Ind. (WDRB) -- For the better part of three months, a Paoli neighborhood has felt like anywhere but home for people who have lived there for years.

"A lot of things are going on around here anymore that we don't expect," said resident Kathy Lindley.

Police say a peeping Tom was out walking College Avenue and peering into at least one window.

"It's scary. I'd be very upset if he was looking in my window," Lindley said.

According to a police report, it started back on a February morning. A concerned father called 911, saying someone in a dark sweatshirt and pants was outside, watching his 17-year-old daughter change.

"You know kids, they're innocent. They don't expect stuff like that to happen," a neighbor, Jerry Eastridge, said.

When police got there, the suspect was gone, but investigators were able to collect a DNA sample from outside the girl's window. It came back this month from the Indiana State Police crime lab in Indianapolis with a match.

Joseph Biondi, 30, a once-convicted voyeur, was arrested, put in jail and awaits his day in court.

In the meantime, the community has had quite the eye-opening experience that has several keeping an extra close watch on their loved ones.

"I just tell them to be vigilant and watch what they're doing and to report strangers," Eastridge said.

The 17-year-old victim's dad said he's thrilled police found a suspect. He said his family is ready to put of all of this behind them.
