Authorities identify woman killed in motorcycle crash in Elizabethtown
One woman has died after she was involved in a motorcycle crash in Elizabethtown.
LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- One woman has died after she was involved in a motorcycle crash in Elizabethtown.
That woman has been identified as 44-year-old Richere Phelps, of Cecilia, Kentucky, according to the Jefferson County Coroner's Office.
Authorities say it happened yesterday at 4:45 p.m., at the intersection of Ring Road and Mary T. Meagher Drive in Elizabethtown. Phelps was riding as a passenger on the motorcycle when it was involved in some kind of crash.
Phelps was taken to University Hospital, where she was pronounced dead at 5:48 p.m. Her cause of death is listed as, "multiple blunt force injuries."
She was not wearing a helmet, according to the coroner's office.
According to the Elizabethtown Police Department's Facebook page, police are looking for information on an SUV that, "may have been a witness to the accident." That SUV is described as a grey or tan Chevrolet S-10 Blazer with a sticker bearing the words, "In loving memory" on the rear windshield.
