La Grange man accused of engaging in illegal sex with minor
Scott Compton, who is employed as a recycling center manager for Oldham County Fiscal Court, has been been suspended without pay pending the outcome of the investigation.
LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- A La Grange man has been arrested after police say he committed an illegal sex act with a 17-year-old girl.
According to an arrest report, 35-year-old Scott Compton was arrested Wednesday afternoon.
Police say that on April 5, Compton traveled to Louisville, where he picked up the teen and took her to his home on Stamper Avenue, near Hwy. 146, in La Grange. While there, he allegedly fondled her sexually, despite her insistence that he stop. Police say he also stripped naked and asked her for sex.
Compton is charged with engaging in an unlawful transaction with a minor (an illegal sex act with a person under 18 years of age) and engaging in the prohibited use of an electronic communication system to procure a minor or peace officer for a sexual offense.
Compton is employed as a recycling center manager for Oldham County Fiscal Court. A spokesperson for the court tells WDRB he has been employed for five days, and has since been suspended without pay pending the outcome of the investigation.
