LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- A young Vikings fan got his birthday wish before he even blew out his candles.

Six-year-old Obadiah Gamble created a music video asking former University of Louisville star and Minnesota Vikings quarterback Teddy Bridgewater to come to his birthday party.

"He's a nice player. So maybe he'd like to come for the first time to a birthday party," Obadiah said about inviting his favorite NFL player to his party.

Obadiah's parents say the six-year-old coordinated everything about the music video, from the music and lyrics to the props.

He even worked the Vikings fight song into the video.

"After Christmas, as a 6-year-old, you start thinking about your birthday party in May. So apparently, inspiration struck in the bathroom and he came up with the song, 'Hey, Teddy,'" Obadiah's father said about how his son came up with the catchy tune.

The first grader tweeted snippets of his song to Bridgewater last week, which the NFL player retweeted to his nearly 200,000 followers.

And then on Wednesday, Bridgewater accepted his invitation by showing up to the Gamble household for an early birthday surprise for Obadiah.

"We played some catch and talked and stuff. We came inside and had some cake and he brought in the cake," the 6-year-old birthday boy said.

Obadiah also said he'd remember that day for the rest of his life.

Bridgewater tweeted out a photo of the two of them Wednesday with the hashtags, #HeyTeddy and #Skolbadiah.
