LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- It's a fast-track to connect scientists with Indiana University: The school says it's increasing the bandwidth of its research and education telecommunications network, called I-Light.

The network connects member sites to state, national and international research and education networks.

Scientists at one college say they usually had to wait a week to send data, but with the upgrade, it will take just a few hours.
