LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- Louisville Metro Police say they've arrested the proprietor of a Louisville smoke shop after he was caught selling synthetic marijuana.

It happened at Smoker's Heaven at 5330 S. 3rd Street just before 10 a.m. on Thursday, June 2. Police say they became aware that synthetic marijuana -- or "spice" a it is commonly known -- was being sold at the store after they seized some of it.

Police say they secured the store while the proprietor, 43-year-old Ali Alrubiaei, was there. According to an arrest report, police found three packages of spice on his person, as well as additional packages of spice in storage areas within the store.

Alrubiaei was arrested and charged with -- among other things -- trafficking in synthetic drugs.
