LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- A volunteer firefighter from Greensburg, Kentucky, is recovering after his fire truck crashed Friday night.

Firefighter Jared Kelly, 21, was driving a pumper truck on a call to a fire at a cabinet shop, Green County Fire Department spokesman Tom Mills said.

The pumper left the road and stopped at the bottom of an embankment at Kentucky 61 and U.S. 68 in Greensburg about 7:30 p.m.

Kelly's injuries are not believed to be life-threatening, Mills said.

Kentucky State Police troopers are investigating the crash.
