LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- Senator Mitch McConnell says he disagrees with Donald Trump's comment about Judge Gonzalo Curiel.

Trump said the judge's Mexican heritage created an "absolute problem" earlier this week.

McConnell wouldn't say whether he thought the comments were racist, but he says he couldn't disagree more with Trump's statement.

"All of us came from somewhere else," McConnell said. "Almost all Americans are either near-term immigrants -- like my wife who came here at age eight not speaking a word of English -- or the rest of us, whose ancestors were risk-takers"

McConnell says he's concerned about Latino voters rejecting the GOP.
