LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- Police have arrested a Jeffersontown mother accused of wanton endangerment after officials say her 6-month-old child fell on a concrete floor and hit his head.

Kara Russell, 20, was arrested Monday at her home in the 2500 block of Tregaron Avenue, according to the official police report.

Police say Russell was involved in a domestic violence dispute with the father of her child.

Officials say while Russell was arguing with the child's father, she allegedly left the child alone on a bed in the basement. The child, "rolled off of the bed and struck his head on the concrete floor," according to police. There's no word on the child's condition.

Investigators say the child's father, who has not been identified, was also arrested and charged with assault.
