Police on scene of bank robbery in St. Matthews area
Louisville Metro Police are on the scene after a bank robbery took place in the St Matthews area, according to a police spokeswoman.
LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- Louisville Metro Police are on the scene after a bank robbery took place in the St Matthews area, according to a police spokeswoman.
It happened at around 10:45 a.m. Tuesday, in the 4200 block of Shelbyville Road, near Hubbards Lane, at the Old National Bank.
Police say a white male walked into the bank and demanded cash.
"It doesn't appear as if any weapon was indicated," said Louisville Metro Police spokeswoman Alicia Smiley in a written statement. "The suspect left the bank with an undisclosed amount of money and was last seen walking on Hubbards Lane."
No one was injured, according to police. The LMPD Robbery unit is investigating.
