LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- Exaggerator ended one long streak with a win in the Preakness.  He'll try to end another that's not quite as long in this Saturday's Belmont Stakes.

The Keith Desormeaux trainee was made the 9-5 favorite in a field of thirteen in the mile-and-an-half test at Belmont Park.  Exaggerator became the first Kentucky Derby runner-up to win the Preakness in 23 years.  The last second-place finisher in the Derby to win the Belmont was Empire Maker in 2003 when the Bobby Frankel-trainee skipped the Preakness and ended the Triple Crown bid of Funny Cide.
