Louisville Visitor's Bureau sells 'I Am Ali' t-shirts

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- Hundreds of people lined up Friday morning to proudly say "I am Ali."

The Louisville Convention and Visitors Bureau sold shirts showing off those words in memory of the Greatest today.

100 percent of the proceeds go to the Muhammad Ali Center.

Organizers say they sold more than 800 shirts in about five hours.

The visitors center even opened early to sell the t-shirts and the line to get one was out the door.

"It just goes to show how many people love Ali. And being from Louisville. I was born and raised here. I grew up with him. And it's a great loss, but it's also a very proud moment. He is our native son and we're very proud of him," said Karen Davis, visitor coordinator of the Louisville Convention and Visitors Bureau.

There are still a few "I am Ali" shirts left.

The visitors center opens at 10 a.m. Saturday and will sell the shirts until they're gone.
