LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- Hearing from residents and having a conversation about Louisville's healthy future.

That was the goal of Saturday's "Conversation about our Community's Health" program.

Residents of the California neighborhood were invited to talk about what they believe should be health priorities for the community.

"We know that health goes beyond just our disease in our communities. Health is our violence, it's our education. It's our community connectedness," said Dr. Brandy Kelly, director at the Center for Health Equity.

The event is one of 26 community conversations planned to happen around Louisville.
