LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- You can learn how to save a life today for free.

The Kentucky Harm Reduction Coalition is holding an event today at Louisville's health department. Naloxone kits and training will be offered to heroin users or loved ones who know users.

Naloxone reverses the effects from heroin and can prevent overdoses.

The training is at the administrative headquarters of the Louisville Metro Department of Public Health and Wellness at 400 E. Gray Street today from 1 p.m. until 3 p.m.

Another training session will be held June 28.

Participants do not have to register to attend.
