LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- Indiana U.S. Senate candidate Baron Hill brings his campaign to southern Indiana.

He made a stop at the Jeffersonville Township Public Library on Tuesday afternoon.

The Democrat spoke with concerned voters and answered their questions about his political views.

Hill says the main issue he will address if elected is the economy. "We need to be focusing like a laser beam after this election on helping the middle class, making sure that we're getting wages restored to pay for their kids' college education, putting food on the table and raising a family," Hill said.

Hill previously served in the U.S. House of Representatives for Indiana's 9th District, which includes much of southern Indiana.

He will face Republican Todd Young in the November election to replace retiring Republican Senator Dan Coats.
