Authorities arrest fifth suspect after teen shot to death in Anderson County
Authorities have arrested the fifth suspect who is charged with murder in connection with the fatal shooting of an 18-year-old man in Anderson County.
LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- Authorities have arrested the fifth suspect who is charged with murder in connection with the fatal shooting of an 18-year-old man in Anderson County.
According to an arrest report, 18-year-old Mathew Patterson, Jr. was arrested by Kentucky State Police Tuesday night. He is currently being held in the Shelby County Detention Center, charged with complicity to murder and first degree wanton endangerment.
According to the arrest warrant, it happened in October of last year, at 2 a.m. in the parking lot of the Eagle Lake Convention Center in Anderson County, Kentucky. Police say 18-year-old Damycal Tre Bolton was shot in the head. Police say two unidentified males were with Bolton at the time, running away from the gunfire.
Patterson is the fifth person to be charged in connection with the case. Kendall Berry, 28, and William Edwards, 27, are charged with murder, possession of a handgun by a convicted felon and wanton endangerment. Antoine James, 28, and Kenneth Berry II, 23, are charged with murder.
According to the arrest warrant, at least one other person may have been involved in the murder.
