LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- One special little boy gets a birthday surprise thanks to the Make-A-Wish Foundation.

11-year-old Charlie Cecil didn't get to have a birthday party last year because he was in the hospital, being treated for a brain tumor.

But Saturday he learned he gets a re-do later this year.

Charlie will get everything he wants: a pinata, go-karts and a DJ in a monkey suit.

WDRB's Lindsay Allen made the announcement for Charlie.

"It's great that everyone is here for me and for make-a-wish it's awesome that they've made so many wishes and made so many people happy," Cecil said.

Charlie's birthday party will be in September.
