LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- Majority of Indiana students passed the state's standardized reading tests. 

The Indiana Department of Education released results of the Indiana Reading Evaluation And Determination assessment or IREAD-3 this week.

State officials say it measures foundational reading standards through  third grade.

Around 84 percent of students passed.

The figures include public and private school students.
