LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- A traffic stop in southern Indiana on Father's Day led to the arrest of two men on drug charges. 

According to a news release, it happened about 4:30 Sunday afternoon. That's when a state trooper stopped a Dodge Ram truck on Interstate 65 south near Seymour for expired tags. 

During the traffic stop, the trooper suspected the two occupants of the truck were involved in criminal activity. During a search of the vehicle, the trooper found more than 10 grams of cocaine, nearly 300 grams of marijuana, two handguns, and nearly $1,500 in cash. 

The driver of the vehicle, 55-year-old John W. Foree Jr. from Frankfort, Kentucky was arrested on felony charges of dealing in cocaine, possession of cocaine, possession of a handgun by a serious violent felon, and maintaining a common nuisance as well as misdemeanor charges of possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia. 

The passenger, 67-year-old Kenneth Satterly, from Bethlehem, Kentucky was arrested on misdemeanor charges of possession of a handgun without a permit and possession of marijuana.

They were both taken to the Jackson County jail.
