LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- There are new concerns about the proposed merger between Anthem Blue Cross and Blue Shield, and Cigna Health Insurance.

The Wall Street Journal says officials are skeptical that competition in the industry would be preserved. The concerns come after company representatives met with U.S. Justice Department officials earlier this month.

Anthem and Cigna expect a decision from the department by mid-July. If the plan goes through, the merger would create the largest U.S. health insurer with more than 54 million members.
