LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- Kentucky State Police say they are investigating the drowning of a Frankfort teen.

This is according to a post placed on the Facebook page for Kentucky State Police.

On Monday around 8 a.m., officials received a call about a body in the Kentucky River. Kentucky State Police went to the scene and found 18-year-old Keyan R. Wickers unresponsive.

Investigators say Wickers had been kayaking earlier. Wickers was pronounced dead at the scene by the Franklin County Coroner.

The Associated Press reports that authorities have not released a cause of death.
