Buechel residents vote a resounding 'no' to alcohol sales
Buechel residents rejected an attempt Tuesday to make one precinct wet by a vote of 83-22.
LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- Buechel residents say an overwhelming "no" to alcohol sales.
They rejected an attempt Tuesday to make one precinct wet by a vote of 83-22.
A new restaurant wanted to be able to sell alcohol and had gathered enough signatures to force the wet-dry vote.
Metro councilman Pat Mulvihill says the precinct went dry more than a decade ago to stop a nightclub from locating there.
