POLICE: Louisville man firing shots into his wall arrested over stray bullet

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- Louisville Metro Police say they've arrested a man who was firing shots into the wall of his own home after one of the bullets went somewhere it wasn't supposed to.

According to an arrest report, 37-year-old Joseph A. Scott, III, admitted that he was firing shots from his .22 caliber rife into his wall just after midnight on Thursday.

Police determined that one of those shots went through his wall and into the bedroom window of a neighbor who happened to be asleep at the time.

According to the arrest report, the incident, "caused a substantial danger of death or serious physical injury to occupants" of the home.

Scott was arrested and charged with first degree wanton endangerment.
