LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- Jockeys from Churchill Downs took a break from the racetrack Thursday to visit patients at Kosair Children's Hospital.

The hospital played host to more than a dozen Churchill Downs stars.

Jockeys included Hall of Fame rider Pat Day and mascot Churchill Charlie.

The riders visited with kids and families and posed for pictures in all their racing silks.

"It's great come in and put smiles on their face," jockey Channing Hill said. "It's terrific."

The annual visits have been going on for nearly 30 years.
