LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- According to LMPD spokesperson Dwight Mitchell, police responded to a robbery Friday afternoon around 4:30 at the Old National Bank on Shelbyville Road.

Mitchell said preliminary investigation shows one suspect entering the bank with a handgun, demanding cash from tellers.

The suspect fled the scene on foot but was captured shortly after on Bonner Avenue.

The suspect vehicle, a white Chevy Malibu, fled east on Shelbyville Road and was spotted going westbound on the Watterson Expressway by 8th Division officers near Breckinridge Lane.

The driver failed to yield to their signal to stop and continued westbound. The vehicle was located on Tartan Way where two more suspects, a man and a woman, were taken into custody without incident.

According to Mitchell, Michael Benton, Branielle Allen and Devante Brightwell are charged with first degree robbery and other charges.
